Star Trade partnered with FamilyMart to develop the first integrated solar and energy storage demonstration store at the Pingfeng location in Tainan.

This Microgrid integrates solar PV, energy storage systems, and fast EV charging, combined with an Energy Management System (EMS) to help the convenience store reduce power load, increase the use of renewable energy, and enhance both operational resilience and energy efficiency.

The Microgrid design enables the store to operate independently during power outages or grid disruptions, preventing business interruptions caused by major blackout events. This project demonstrates Star Trade’s capabilities in energy autonomy and risk management.

Star Trade provides a fully integrated solution, covering system design, construction, EMS deployment, and ongoing operations and maintenance. This allows store operators to focus on their core business while energy systems are managed by dedicated experts.

Beyond delivering tangible energy savings and carbon reduction, the demonstration store serves as a scalable and replicable microgrid model for future retail locations and community applications. Star Trade will continue to promote integrated solar, storage, and charging solutions, enabling businesses and property owners to achieve stable renewable energy independence and operational continuity, while pursuing sustainability and net-zero goals with a trusted partner.
