Outdoor Mullet Aquaculture Site
Located in Qigu, Tainan, this outdoor aquaculture co-generation site was developed on a restored, previously abandoned fishpond. Under Star Aquaculture, a dedicated operational model was established to integrate aquaculture with renewable energy utilization.
In 2024, the site achieved a successful harvest of 85,000 Taiwanese catties of mullet. The fish were raised in clean, toxin-free seawater, reaching a roe maturity rate of over 70%, demonstrating stable cultivation performance and effective site management.
This project showcases the dual-use potential of aquaculture co-generation, enabling land revitalization while supplying safe, high-quality aquaculture products.
