Fishery and Electricity Symbiosis Solution

About

Aquaculture co-generation integrates aquaculture operations with solar power generation by installing PV systems along pond embankments, water channels, and other suitable areas. The electricity produced can be used onsite or sold, creating additional green energy revenue alongside traditional aquaculture income.
HD Renewable Energy operates these projects with a dedicated aquaculture team, helping strengthen Taiwan’s aquaculture expertise. Our aim is to enable a win–win model where renewable energy development and aquaculture flourish together, supporting industrial upgrading while contributing to ecological sustainability.

    Outdoor Mullet Aquaculture Site

Located in Qigu, Tainan, this outdoor aquaculture co-generation site was developed on a restored, previously abandoned fishpond. Under Star Aquaculture, a dedicated operational model was established to integrate aquaculture with renewable energy utilization. In 2024, the site achieved a successful harvest of 85,000 Taiwanese catties of mullet. The fish were raised in clean, toxin-free seawater,…
