Yuli Forest Restoration Project
目錄
HDRE and the Green Public Welfare Foundation collaborated on the Yuli T-EARTH Forest Restoration Project, restoring more than 12 hectares of forestland. Between 2023 and 2024, the project invested NT$1.5 million to plant 1,500 native trees. Over the next decade, these trees are expected to absorb roughly 27,903 tons of CO₂e, with an average investment of NT$1,000 per tree.
Beyond establishing a long-term natural carbon sink, the project brings people back to the land. HDRE worked closely with local youth, returning farmers, and 10 Indigenous community members, creating green employment opportunities rooted in the local culture.
By restoring native forest ecosystems, the project also offers space for environmental education and nature-based learning—allowing the community to reconnect with its landscape and values.
This is not only about planting trees. It is about helping a community rebuild, reclaim its resilience, and walk together toward a shared and sustainable future.
